Idli is a very famous South Indian dish...children luv to eat idlis bt they don't like spinach or beetroot...so I made these idlis frm the puree of spinach and beetroot....This is very healthy and yummy idlis....

  1. 1.5 kg Readymade Idli Batter -
  2. 1 bunch Spinach -
  3. 1 big Beetroot -
  4. to taste Salt
  5. as needed Rfined oil for freezing
  6. For chutney
  7. 1 bowl Peanuts -
  8. Half Coconut -
  9. 10 - 15 Curry leaves -
  10. 1 small Gngr pc -
  11. 3-4 Grlic flakes -
  12. to taste Salt
  13. 2 tbsp Mustard oil -
  14. 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  15. 2 Whole red chilli -

Instructions to make to make Colourful idli

  1. Firstly wash spinach proprly..and make a paste of spinach...
  2. Secondly clean the beet root and make paste...
  3. Now divide the batter into 3 equal parts..and tak the batter in three separate bowls...Now add spinach paste and beetroot paste to the bowls....keep one bowl white..Add salt to each bowls
  4. Now we hv three diffrnt bowls of idli batter.One is spinach batter,second is beetroot and third is white..Now tak the idli stand grease with oil and pour the white batter....pour the beetroot and spinach batter to dffrnt idli stand...
  5. Now tak the idli stand one by one in the microwave and set the tym for 2min...Remove the idli stand frm the microwave and let it cool...
  6. For chutney to all the ingrdnts in mixi jaar and make chtney....Heat oil in a tadka pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and whole red chilli and when they started splattered pour the oil into chutney....
  7. Lastly tak a plate and arrange all the idlis with chutney and serve....
